Workforce Wf3620 Ink Printing Blue Instead of Other Colors

Hello,

I have a small online business which requires me to print a lot of pictures. I use an Epson WF-3620 because it was affordable, doesn't chug ink, has good image print quality and had excellent reviews. All of a sudden, my printer has been leaving black streaks on all of my prints, among other issues, but this streak issue is my main concern. I ran all of the possible printer maintenance actions (print head nozzle check, print head cleaning, print head alignment and paper guide cleaning) and nothing has worked. The only thing I can think of that might possibly be an issue is that I don't use manufacturer ink, I get my ink from Inkjets.com but I have never had an issue with their ink before. I guess there is one more possible issue which may mean I'll have to look into buying a new printer. I just recently moved from NY to NC and had everything shipped via U-Pack trucks so maybe somewhere in the moving process it could've been damaged?

If you can't help me fix it myself could you at least recommend a new printer? Thanks in advance!

P.S. I have attached a photo of the streaks. Obviously the red is my attempt at censoring a customer's face.

When you print something, see if the streak will smudge with a finger. If it is related to the ink cartridges, then they might be slightly wet when them come out. This might help determine is the streaks are ink.

It also could be related to the rollers...either ink on the rollers or maybe even the roller melting (they are typically some sort of rubber...if the temperature in the U-Pack trucks was hot enough, it could have caused the rollers to melt and then maybe cause them to leave marks).

Thank you, the ink does smudge when it's touched very lightly and there was one small glob up at the top of the paper. Do you think if I wiped down the ink opening on the cartridge with a cloth that this may help? Or is it just a dud cartridge? I attached a photo of the cartridge.

It could be a dude cartridge. Even if so, then it likely will not hurt to wipe it down with a Qtip with some rubbing alcohol on it (I have cleaned cartridge printing ports/jets in the past in such manners). About the biggest risk is that it might cause more ink to leak and gum up the printer. So, if you don't want to risk that, then maybe try a new cartridge.

clean the paper roller first after that take 5 to 10 blank page print outs  it will solve the issue

Most inkjet units have a "spit cup" on the right edge or home position.  When it gets full to the point of overflow, the bottom of the carriage that holds the cartridge gets ink all over it and drags it across the page.  Clean the carriage and swab out the cup.

if you have pets and hair gets caught under the print head, I had a simular problem with my epson artisan 1400 printer,  I cleaned the hair out and it fixed my problem.  at first I also thought it was defective ink tanks but was wrong.
